Brandon and Angela Forder are the new owners of YetiCon, bringing with them a strong foundation in large-scale event planning, community engagement, and creative production. Together, they have successfully produced and managed major fan-facing events including Georgian Bay FanCon, the Meaford Pet Expo, and have also worked for many years on the Meaford International Film Festival. Their experience involves overseeing everything from programming and guest relations to sponsorships, vendor coordination, and attendee experience. They take an inclusive approach to professional event management with a deep respect for fan culture, ensuring events are both well-run and genuinely designed for the community.
At the heart of their involvement in fandom conventions is family. Their children’s love of cosplay and creative self-expression was a major inspiration behind stepping into the convention world, transforming a shared family passion into a platform that celebrates imagination, inclusivity, and fun. This perspective shapes YetiCon’s vision—one that prioritizes welcoming spaces, memorable experiences, and a sense of belonging for fans of all ages.
Saphiira Cosplay serves as Chief Strategy Officer for YetiCon, bringing a creator-first perspective and a deep understanding of fandom culture to the convention’s long-term vision. With extensive experience as a respected cosplayer, content creator, and community leader, she provides strategic guidance on brand growth, programming direction, and audience engagement. Her insight helps ensure YetiCon remains authentic to its roots while evolving in ways that resonate with fans, creators, and partners alike. A dedicated cosplayer since 2017, Saphiira has been competing in craftsmanship competitions since 2018 and now performs at the Master Division level. Her work has been featured on display at major conventions and published twice, highlighting both technical excellence and creative vision. Beyond the competition floor, she is a Twitch Affiliate live streamer and content creator who shares her process, tips, and behind-the-scenes insights with a growing audience. She’s also built and actively manages a supportive Discord community focused on helping others succeed in cosplay, 3D printing, and 3D design—making mentorship and collaboration a core part of her creative journey.
